The University Student Support Fund (SSF) is money provided by the University to help students facing financial hardship. It can provide non-repayable awards to students who are having money troubles or have an unexpected emergency to deal with.
The fund is discretionary and the University is allocated a fixed amount each year; so whether or not you get an award depends on your individual circumstances, eligibility and the availability of funds.
For more information, please see the links below. We have a dedicated web portal to apply for the SSF, you can access this via the Blackbullion portal - here
Blackbullion also hosts many independent learning modules that can help you to develop here at the University of Bolton, topics include; Budgeting, Preparing for Uni, and how to Save to name a few. You can find these modules under the Learning section on Blackbullion.
If you require more information or any assistance, you can contact the Student SUpport Fund team in the Student Centre or via email/telephone.
